Webinar - 'Recovery & Renewal in Community Rail'

Community rail is in a unique position to help communities and transport ‘build back better’ from the Covid-19 pandemic.

This discussion-based webinar will enable community rail partnerships and groups, and our partners in rail and government, to explore together how we can seize opportunities and deliver maximum benefit over the months ahead.

We will focus on three broad areas of work where community rail can play an important role:

1. Building local understanding and dialogue on changing needs

2. Promoting social inclusion and supporting community resilience

3. Rebuilding positivity around rail and starting to promote rail again

For each of these themes, we will hear an introduction from Community Rail Network and our partners, plus examples already emerging within community rail, followed by a chance for everyone to input their thoughts, ideas and experiences.

Our panellists will include Jools Townsend (Chief executive, Community Rail Network), Hannah Fitzpatrick (Department for Transport) and Robert Nisbett (Rail Delivery Group).

Please come along with your insights and examples from recent months – we’ll be keen for your input in the discussion and hope it will provide momentum for community rail to play the fullest possible role in a sure, sustainable and inclusive recovery.
